Bruce Graham - Playwright

Bruce Graham’s MOON OVER THE BREWERY premiered in 1989 as part of the Philadelphia Festival Theatre for New Plays. His other plays include COYOTE ON A FENCE, SOMETHING INTANGIBLE, BURKIE, EARLY ONE EVENING AT THE RAINBOW BAR & GRILLE, CHAMPAGNE CHARLIE STAKES, MINOR DEMONS, DESPERATE AFFECTION, BELMONT AVENUE SOCIAL CLUB, ACCORDING TO GOLDMAN, and DEX AND JULIE SITTIN’ IN A TREE. COYOTE ON A FENCE won the 1998 Rosenthal Prize, was nominated for two Drama Desk Awards, and ran on London’s West End starring Ben Cross. His feature film credits include Dunston Checks In, Anastasia and Steal This Movie. He has written the screenplays to the television movies Hunt for the Unicorn Killer, The Christmas Secret, Right on Track, Tiger Cruise, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and Ring of Endless Light for which he won the Humanitas Award for Best Children’s Screenplay. Graham has also worked on the television shows “Roseanne” and “Legwork,” and co-wrote a book with Michele Volansky entitled The Collaborative Playwright. He has received awards from the Pew Foundation, the Theater Association of Pennsylvania, the Rockefeller Foundation and was the 1992 Princess Grace Foundation Statuette recipient. Graham lives in Philadelphia and teaches film and theater courses at Drexel University.
